Viet Nam to scrap COVID-19 test requirements for vaccinated entrants from mid-May
17/05/2022Foreign arrivals will no longer have to take any COVID-19 tests to enter Viet Nam from May 15, 2022, the Government announced Friday.
The move was made as the daily number of infections and fatalities has dipped significantly since March 15 while the vaccination rate is high.
The Government however tasked the Ministry of Health to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and give proper instructions in accordance with the evolution of the pandemic.
Viet Nam already suspended mandatory health declaration regulations for foreign arrivals from April 27.
The Southeast Asian country has confirmed 10,693,141 COVID-19 cases, including 9,344,029 recoveries and 43,063 fatalities since the outbreak of the pandemic./.
