Mining Vietnam 2018 Returns to Hanoi With a Geographical Reach Covering the Whole Indochina

Mining Vietnam 2018 - The 4th International Mining and Minerals Recovery Exhibition for Vietnam promises to gather hundreds of local and international technology, equipment and service suppliers to support Vietnam and Indochina’s mining industry.

Ho Chi Minh City, 18 January 2018 - Vietnam’s leading international mining trade show is set to return from 18 to 20 April 2018 at International Centre for Exhibition (I.C.E), Hanoi, Vietnam. Since its inaugural edition in 2012, Mining Vietnam has been receiving unwavering support from a plethora of ministries, government agencies and trade associations such as Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (VINACOMIN), to name a few. The 4th edition continues to converge hundreds of industry movers and shakers from across the region, to showcase their innovative products, equipment and cutting-edge technical solutions catering to the mining, mineral recovery, mineral handling and processing markets in Vietnam and well beyond.

Mining Vietnam –Resources hub for industry players

Mining Vietnam 2018 is anticipated to house over 170 participating companies from 22 countries and regions, featuring nine group pavilions specifically designed for international exhibitors from China, Czech Republic, Germany, Russia, Singapore and United Kingdom. Encompassing up to 4,000 square meters of hall space, the exhibition will highlight the latest mining equipment, technologies and services, ranging from automation, control equipment, engineering, to underground mining equipment, minerals processing, software and fire safety.

A multitude of key industry players, leading manufacturers, suppliers and distributors such as Mico, PET, Robert Bosch, Sailun Vietnam, Tamiha, Tsurumi, Vinza, YHI, Weir Minerals, and especially the country’s largest state-owned mining group - Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (VINACOMIN) have officially confirmed their participation.

In addition to the exposition component, Mining Vietnam 2018 will present an extensive business matching program, technical presentations and educational seminars, covering the most topical issues in the mining industry, from resource exploration to extraction and beyond to mine closure and management of post-mining issues. The seminars are expected to draw the attention of various senior government officials, business owners, technical experts and representatives from homegrown and overseas mining associations.

Looking back on remarkable achievements of Mining Vietnam 2016

Covering close to 4,000 square meters of the exhibition space with the attendance of 171 companies from 22 different countries, the last edition of Mining Vietnam staged from 29 to 31 March 2016 was hailed as a success, receiving positive feedback from industry decision-makers, key mining personnel and exhibitors alike. In excess of 3,000 trade visitors and buyer delegations gathered together to source new products, share insights and technological know-how, generate new business leads as well as form new strategic partnerships. According to the statistics from the organizers, 94 per cent of visitors were satisfied with the exhibition while 98 per cent confirmed to be back to Mining Vietnam 2018.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thuan - Specialist of Procurement and Bidding Division, PetroVietnam enthusiastically stated: “This is the first time I have visited Mining Vietnam and I am extremely pleased with its professional preparation and organization. I have been able to exchange contacts with various potential equipment suppliers. I am blessed to be here and am looking forward to another success of the upcoming Mining show!”

Similar sentiments were also gathered from other visitors to Mining Vietnam 2016. As a first-time visitor, Mr. Ma Zhongwu – Manager of International Business Department, Shanxi Lu’an Haitong Industry & Trade said: “We are from China and we have known about the show thanks to the introduction of our partners. Our visiting purpose was to connect and strengthen relationships with our existing partners; however, I have also managed to discover new business opportunities with many other potential suppliers. Vietnam is one of our target markets in Asia and we are looking for bright business prospects here in the years to come. Very pleased with our first visit and we will definitely be back next year!”
