Although the global market for minerals is currently challenging, our event has manage to hold itself against odds and has retained its size and international representation of technology suppliers. This is a testament to the confidence of the Vietnamese industry which has seen its share of ups and downs but is currently buoyed by the need for more (coal) power generation - resulting from inbound manufacturing investors which then drives the need to increase the coal extraction rate. This benefits the country’s balance of payments as the need for imported coal is reduced. Alongside mining is the Building and Construction exhibition which shares some similar customer and technology profiles – earth moving technologies in particular. We hope the colocation of both events will benefit our exhibitors as more varied industry buyers will visit this coming event”.
